About Us: Wildlife Crossings for a Connected Future

Frontenac Safe Passage is a campaign driven by the Algonquin to Adirondacks Collaborative (A2A).

Our mission? Giving wildlife the space they need to roam safely and freely across one of eastern North America’s most important wildlife corridors—from Algonquin Park to the Adirondacks.

We believe in the power of collaboration. Our work brings together local nonprofits, community groups, government agencies, and dedicated citizens — all united by a shared vision for an ecologically connected region.

The Frontenac Safe Passage campaign zeroes in on a critical task: building wildlife crossings on Highway 401 in the Frontenac Arch. Alongside many other organizations, we are working to provide the science, research, and public support to make these essential structures a reality, allowing wildlife to safely navigate our roads.

A Collaborative Effort

We are grateful for the incredible support of the many organizations that have contributed to the Frontenac Safe Passage Campaign. Their commitment to wildlife crossings on Highway 401 extends to providing invaluable volunteer power and helping us build widespread public awareness for this critical initiative.
