About the event
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is hosting a Public Information Centre (PIC) about the proposed Highway 401 improvements between Gananoque and Mallorytown — and you’re invited to take part on October 23.
This first session will share what the study is about, existing conditions, the evaluation criteria being used, and a preliminary list of improvement alternatives. You will be able to discuss your concerns with a representative from the MTO and the consultant team, and submit a comment to provide your feedback to the study.
A second PIC will be held later in the study (Spring 2026) to present the evaluation of alternatives, preferred plan, and associated potential impacts and preliminary proposed mitigation measures.
This will be a key moment for our community to show strong support for building wildlife crossings in the Frontenac Arch. If you are unable to attend the PIC, you will still be able to submit a comment during the 30-day comment…
